Network Architect

Role Description

The Network Architect will design, plan, and optimize the network infrastructure that supports Prospecta con Éxito's remote operations and online platforms. In this part-time remote role, the Network Architect will define network architectures, develop high-level and detailed network designs, and ensure secure, reliable connectivity for distributed teams and cloud-based services. Daily tasks include analyzing current and future network requirements, selecting appropriate technologies, creating network diagrams and documentation, and collaborating with engineering and operations teams to implement solutions. The role also involves establishing security standards, troubleshooting complex network issues, and recommending improvements for performance, scalability, and resilience. The Network Architect will work independently while coordinating with stakeholders to prioritize initiatives and align network strategy with business needs.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Network Architecture and Network Design to create scalable, resilient, and secure network solutions that align with business goals.
• Candidates should possess skills in Network Engineering and Network Administration to implement, configure, monitor, and maintain network infrastructure across remote and cloud-based environments.
• Candidates should possess skills in Network Security to design and enforce policies, protect data and systems, and support secure remote access.
• Experience with routing and switching, VPNs, firewalls, and cloud networking (e.g., AWS, Azure, or similar) is highly beneficial.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, clear written and verbal communication skills, and the capacity to work independently in a remote setting are required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
• Relevant industry certifications (such as CCNP, CCDP, or equivalent) and experience supporting distributed or international teams are a plus.
