About the role
- Provide first and second-line support to all users — logging, triage, resolution and closure within agreed service levels
- Administer and maintain the LAN, switching and wireless network, including performance and coverage
- Operate and maintain firewalls, remote access and VPN services under approved change control
- Administer Windows servers — monitoring, patching, updates, capacity and routine housekeeping
- Monitor backups and carry out scheduled restore testing with documented evidence
- Administer Microsoft 365 — users, groups, licences, Exchange, Teams and SharePoint
- Execute joiner, mover and leaver processes, access provisioning and revocation, and access-review evidence
- Support endpoints and peripherals — laptops, desktops, printers, scanners, mobile and handheld devices, and meeting-room equipment
- Maintain the IT asset and licence register, inventory and procurement records
- Maintain patch compliance, endpoint protection and credential hygiene
- Maintain network documentation, including structured cabling and configuration records
- Participate in an out-of-hours support roster.
