Senior Solution Architect – Oil & Gas / Energy

Key Responsibilities

• 10+ years in software engineering with 4+ years as lead/solution architect on enterprise platforms.

• Deep experience with microservices, event-driven architectures (Kafka), REST APIs, PostgreSQL, and cloud deployment on AWS.

• Hands-on experience with BPM/workflow engines; Camunda 7/8 strongly preferred, including DMN.

• Track record of integrating enterprise (SAP) and industrial/OT data sources (historians, alarms) in secure architectures.

• Strong technical writing; able to produce client-grade architecture documentation under formal review cycles

Key Responsibility:

• Author the Solution Design Document: application architecture, hosting, integrations, user roles, cybersecurity considerations, and data flows.

• Design the platform around Camunda 8 (BPMN workflows, DMN decision tables), event-driven ingestion (Kafka), PostgreSQL and time-series storage, and a React front end on AWS.

• Define the integration architecture for SAP ERP, maintenance systems, process historians, alarm/DCS sources, and APM systems across the IT/OT boundary.

• Set non-functional requirements (availability, performance, security, auditability) and verify them through testing.

• Present and defend the architecture in client governance, cybersecurity, and change-advisory forums.

• Prepare the standard vs. configurable vs. custom functionality declaration and keep it current through delivery
