Backend Engineer (Python / Node.js) – 6 Month Contract

• Salary: AED 12,000 per month

Our client is looking for a Backend Engineer with strong experience in API development, microservices, event driven architecture, and scalable backend systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and develop REST and GraphQL APIs and microservices using Python (FastAPI/Flask) and Node.js (Express.js).
• Build video metadata processing systems and event driven applications.
• Design and optimise database schemas across PostgreSQL, MongoDB, TimescaleDB, and Redis.
• Develop message broker based pipelines using Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Implement authentication and security mechanisms, including JWT and OAuth, following API security best practices.
• Optimise API performance for low latency and high throughput, including caching and bottleneck resolution.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, containerise applications using Docker, and support orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Integrate backend services with AI/ML components and collaborate with cross functional teams.
