Senior Telecom Commissioning Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Telecom Commissioning Engineer to support the pre-commissioning, commissioning, testing, and startup of telecom and communication systems for major Oil & Gas EPC projects in the UAE.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in telecom systems commissioning within operating Oil & Gas facilities, including brownfield modifications and integration with ICSS/DCS systems.

YOUR ROLE

As Senior Telecom Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible in the performance of the following but not limited to duties and responsibilities:

• Lead and execute pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for telecom and communication systems.
• Commission, test, and troubleshoot: CCTV Systems, PAGA (Public Address & General Alarm) Systems, Access Control Systems, Radio Communication Systems, Paging Systems, Telephone Systems, LAN/WAN Network, PTS (Process Telecommunications Systems), Fiber Optic Communication (FOC) Systems.
• Perform Modbus configuration, communication setup, and interface testing between Telecom Systems and ICSS/DCS platforms.
• Conduct: Functional Checks, Logic Verification, Communication and Signal Validation, System Performance Testing.
• Coordinate commissioning activities with Construction, QA/QC, Client, Operations, and Vendor representatives, particularly for brownfield modifications and live plant interfaces.
• Prepare and review: Commissioning Procedures, Method Statements, Risk Assessments (RA), Testing and Verification Protocols
• Execute and support: SAT (Site Acceptance Testing), ISAT (Integrated Site Acceptance Testing), Operational Testing, Interface Testing, Network Communication Testing.
• Perform: System Conformity Checks, Mechanical Completion (MC) Walkdowns, Inspection Test Records (ITR) Completion, Punch List Management and Close-Out Activities
• Ensure strict compliance with HSE requirements, PTW systems, project procedures, and industry standards throughout commissioning activities.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Experience

• Minimum 12-20 years of experience in Telecom Commissioning within Oil & Gas EPC projects
• Proven experience with industrial telecom and communication systems commissioning
• Experience with brownfield modifications, system integration, and live plant commissioning activities
• ADNOC project experience preferred

Education and Certifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related discipline

Skills and Competencies

• Sound understanding of commissioning documentation, system handover requirements, and HSE compliance
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and stakeholder coordination skills
• Excellent communication and reporting abilities
• Strong knowledge of: CCTV, PAGA, Access Control, Radio Systems, Telephony Systems, LAN/WAN Infrastructure, Fiber Optic Networks, Industrial Communication Protocols, Modbus Integration.
