About the Role
We're hiring a Product Engineer to sit at the intersection of product, engineering, and go-to-market. You'll partner with sales, solutions engineering, and product management to translate customer and market signals into shipped scope — building prototypes, integrations, demo environments, and internal tooling that accelerate deals and sharpen the roadmap. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys customer-facing technical work, is comfortable scoping ambiguous problems, and wants outsized influence on both revenue and product direction.
Responsibilities
- Build technical assets that accelerate GTM motions: prospect-facing prototypes, demo and sandbox environments, proof-of-concepts, and reference architectures.
- Partner with AEs, SEs, and customer success to scope technical requirements for prospects and customers, including feasibility, effort, and trade-off analysis.
- Translate ambiguous customer and field needs into concrete product scope — draft specs, define MVP vs. deferred work, and align with PM and engineering leads.
- Lead or co-own GTM-critical integrations end-to-end (CRM, billing, identity, partner APIs), from discovery through production.
- Build and maintain internal tooling that improves sales workflows, onboarding, and implementation (configurators, quoting helpers, diagnostic tools).
- Act as the technical liaison between GTM and product/engineering, capturing field insights and converting them into roadmap inputs.
- Serve as a technical SME in customer calls, RFPs, and security reviews when deals require deeper engineering credibility.
- Establish patterns and reusable primitives so that one-off GTM asks compound into durable product surface area.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in product engineering, solutions engineering, or full-stack engineering with meaningful customer-facing exposure.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals; you've shipped and owned production code (e.g., TypeScript, Python, Go).
- Hands-on experience designing and building against REST and webhook-based APIs, and fluency with common SaaS integration patterns (OAuth, idempotency, retries, pagination).
- Demonstrated ability to scope ambiguous problems: write clear specs, separate MVP from nice-to-have, and estimate effort realistically.
- Comfortable presenting technical concepts to customers, AEs, and executives; able to translate between business and engineering fluently.
- Experience working in tight collaboration with PM, sales engineering, and design in a fast-moving environment.
- Bias toward shipping quickly, learning from field feedback, and iterating.
Nice to Have
- Experience at an early-stage or growth-stage B2B SaaS company where GTM and product boundaries are still fluid.
- Familiarity with CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot), CPQ, or billing platforms (Stripe, Chargebee, Zuora).
- Background building demo environments, sandbox tooling, or evaluator experiences.
- Prior experience in solutions engineering, technical pre-sales, or post-sales implementation.
- Comfort with product analytics tools to turn field signals into roadmap decisions.
- Experience mentoring other engineers on scoping and cross-functional communication.
