Design Engineer / Network Engineer

Role Description

We are looking for a Design Engineer / Network Engineer to support engineering design, technical development, network infrastructure, and system optimization activities. The role involves translating technical requirements into practical solutions while ensuring designs and network environments meet performance, reliability, security, and operational requirements.

Design responsibilities include developing and reviewing engineering designs, technical drawings, specifications, and documentation. The role involves analyzing technical requirements, selecting suitable components and technologies, supporting prototype development and testing, and collaborating with engineering and cross-functional teams to improve product and system performance.

Network responsibilities include designing, implementing, configuring, monitoring, and maintaining network infrastructure and connectivity solutions. The role involves supporting LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, firewalls, routing, switching, network security, and related infrastructure. Responsibilities also include troubleshooting connectivity and performance issues, monitoring network availability, documenting configurations, and supporting upgrades and optimization initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of engineering design principles, technical documentation, networking concepts, and system architecture.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, engineering specifications, network diagrams, and documentation.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, VPN, LAN/WAN, routing, switching, and wireless networking.
• Familiarity with network devices, firewalls, monitoring tools, and network security concepts.
• Understanding of engineering design tools, simulation software, CAD applications, or technical analysis tools is an advantage.
• Familiarity with cloud networking and platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to conduct testing, analyze technical issues, identify root causes, and implement appropriate solutions.
• Good communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate with engineering, IT, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
• Strong attention to detail when preparing designs, configurations, reports, and technical documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple technical tasks and priorities effectively.
• Proactive mindset with an interest in engineering innovation, network technologies, system reliability, and continuous improvement.
