Backend engineer
Location: Dubai
Duration: 6 months with extension
Experience: 5 Years
Required
Architect, design, and develop REST and/or GraphQL APIs and microservices that follow industry best practices, using Python (FastAPI / Flask) and Node.js (Express.js).
Build video-metadata processing and event-driven systems.
Design and optimise database schemas across relational and NoSQL stores (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, TimescaleDB, Redis) for efficient retrieval and storage.
Implement message-broker-based pipelines using Kafka or RabbitMQ.
Implement authentication and security (JWT, OAuth) and apply API security best practices.
Optimise API performance for low latency and high throughput; identify and resolve bottlenecks; implement caching.
Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines; containerise with Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes.
Integrate backend services with AI/ML components and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
