Site Civil Engineer

Sawahel Al Sharque Building Construction is looking for a Civil Engineer with strong BOQ preparation, estimation and business development skills to join our team in Fujairah.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate BOQs and quotations for new projects while actively identifying and developing new business opportunities for the company.

Key Responsibilities

BOQ, Estimation & Tendering – Priority

• Prepare detailed BOQs and quantity take-offs for new projects.
• Review architectural and structural drawings and calculate quantities accurately.
• Prepare project estimates, material requirements and quotations.
• Review tender documents and identify project requirements.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive rates.
• Follow up on submitted quotations and tenders.

Business Development & Sales

• Identify and generate new construction project opportunities.
• Approach consultants, contractors, developers, property owners and potential clients.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
• Visit project sites and attend client meetings when required.
• Follow up leads, enquiries and quotations until project award.
• Help secure new villa construction, renovation, fit-out and other construction projects.
• Achieve agreed business-development targets.

Construction / Engineering

• Supervise and coordinate construction activities when required.
• Read and understand architectural and structural drawings.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Monitor site progress and quality of work.
• Assist with measurements, inspections and project documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• 1–3 years of relevant construction experience preferred.
• Strong experience in BOQ preparation, quantity take-off and estimation.
• Good understanding of villa/building construction.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred.
• Strong communication, negotiation and client-handling skills.
• Ability to generate leads and actively pursue new projects.
• UAE construction experience is an advantage.
• Existing contacts with consultants, contractors or property owners in Fujairah/UAE will be highly advantageous.
• UAE driving licence is preferred.
• Must be hardworking, proactive, target-oriented and willing to take responsibility for both technical work and business development.

Compensation

Basic Salary: AED 2,700 – AED 3,500 per month

In addition to the basic salary, the company will provide performance-based incentives/commission for successfully secured projects and business generated.

Candidates who consistently bring new projects and contribute to company growth will have the opportunity to earn more through incentives.
