Senior SharePoint Developer - Abu Dhabi - 10-month contract

Our consultancy client is looking for a highly experienced Senior SharePoint Developer to join a major project in the UAE on a 10-month extendable contract.

The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience across SharePoint On-Premises and SharePoint Online, strong expertise in SharePoint development and architecture, and the ability to lead technical discussions with clients and development teams.

This position requires a combination of hands-on development, technical leadership, integration expertise and exposure to modern Microsoft 365 and AI technologies.

Required Skills & Experience

• 12+ years of hands-on SharePoint development experience.
• Extensive experience with SharePoint On-Premises (2013/2016/2019/SE) and SharePoint Online.
• Strong understanding of SharePoint farm architecture, administration and topology.
• Advanced development expertise in SPFx, React, TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs, Microsoft Graph APIs and .NET/C# Web APIs.
• Knowledge of authentication and authorization technologies including OAuth 2.0, Microsoft Entra ID and JWT.
• Experience integrating SharePoint with external applications and Azure services.
• Strong troubleshooting, technical design and problem-solving capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, customize and maintain solutions across SharePoint On-Premises and SharePoint Online.
• Work with SharePoint 2013, 2016, 2019 and SharePoint Server Subscription Edition (SE).
• Manage and support SharePoint farm architecture, configuration, service applications and administration.
• Develop modern SharePoint solutions using SPFx, React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
• Build SPFx Web Parts, Extensions, Application Customizers, Field Customizers and Command Sets.
• Develop integrations using Microsoft Graph API, SharePoint REST APIs, Azure services and .NET/C# Web APIs.
• Troubleshoot complex SharePoint performance, authentication, configuration and integration issues.
• Lead technical discussions with clients, provide solution designs and guide development teams.
• Support SharePoint migrations, upgrades and modernization initiatives.
• Contribute to AI-enabled SharePoint and Microsoft 365 solutions using Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, SharePoint Agents and Azure AI Foundry.
