Senior Drupal Developer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Drupal Developer to join our development team and take ownership of Drupal-based web application and digital platform implementations. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Drupal development, custom module development, multi-site architecture, content modelling, integrations, migration, performance optimization, security and deployment. The role requires someone who can work independently, understand complex business requirements and deliver scalable, secure and maintainable Drupal solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain enterprise-grade Drupal websites and applications.
• Develop custom Drupal modules, plugins, services, entities and APIs.
• Configure Drupal Content Types, Paragraphs, Views, Taxonomy, Media, Workflows and other core/contributed functionality.
• Implement multi-site and subsite architectures with site-specific configurations, themes, content and permissions.
• Develop custom roles, groups and granular permission frameworks.
• Implement reusable components and page-building solutions based on approved UI/UX designs.
• Develop and maintain integrations with internal and third-party systems through REST APIs and other integration methods.
• Design and implement structured content models and custom entities.
• Develop and execute content migration solutions using Drupal Migration API.
• Handle migration of structured content, media, taxonomy, metadata, URLs and related content.
• Implement search and indexing solutions using technologies such as Solr or Elasticsearch.
• Configure and optimize Drupal caching, Redis, Varnish and other performance mechanisms.
• Support database optimization and application performance tuning.
• Implement and maintain Drupal configuration management across multiple environments.
• Work with Git-based source control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Support deployment across Development, Staging and Production environments.
• Troubleshoot application, integration, deployment and production issues.
• Follow Drupal coding standards, security best practices and scalable development practices.
• Support vulnerability assessments, security testing and remediation activities.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure quality and maintainability of the implementation.
• Prepare technical documentation and assist with knowledge transfer.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, QA engineers, DevOps engineers and project stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years of professional Drupal development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Drupal 9/10/11.
• Strong PHP and object-oriented programming skills.
• Excellent understanding of Drupal architecture and APIs.
• Strong experience in custom module development.
• Experience with Drupal Configuration Management.
• Strong knowledge of Content Types, Paragraphs, Views, Taxonomy, Media and Workflows.
• Experience with Drupal multi-site implementations.
• Experience developing custom entities and complex content structures.
• Hands-on experience with Drupal Migration API.
• Strong experience with REST APIs and third-party integrations.
• Good knowledge of MySQL/MariaDB.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD.
• Good Linux server administration knowledge.
• Experience with Solr or Elasticsearch.
• Experience with Redis, Varnish and Drupal caching.
• Strong understanding of Drupal security and performance optimization.
