About the Role

We are looking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to own features end-to-end across the web stack — from the user-facing UI through the APIs and data models that power it. You will partner closely with product and design to translate requirements into reliable, well-tested systems, contribute to architectural decisions, and raise the technical bar through thoughtful code review and mentorship. The ideal candidate has shipped production software across both frontend and backend, has strong opinions grounded in trade-offs rather than trends, and is equally comfortable whiteboarding a system design as pairing on a tricky React bug.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and ship customer-facing features end-to-end across the frontend, backend, and database layers.
  • Own the architecture and technical roadmap for one or more product areas, making pragmatic build-vs-buy and scaling decisions.
  • Write clean, testable code and participate actively in code review to maintain quality across the codebase.
  • Define and evolve APIs (REST or GraphQL), data models, and service boundaries in collaboration with peers.
  • Improve engineering productivity through better tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and development workflows.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, providing technical guidance and career support.
  • Partner with product and design early in the cycle to surface feasibility trade-offs and shape scope.
  • Contribute to on-call rotations and own the operational health of services you build.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 3 years building full-stack web applications in production.
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript and a modern frontend framework (React, Next.js, or similar), including state management and performance considerations.
  • Solid backend experience with Node.js, Python, Go, or a comparable language — building and operating RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
  • Deep familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL) including schema design, query optimization, and migrations.
  • Practical experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and deploying containerized or serverless workloads.
  • Working knowledge of testing strategies: unit, integration, and end-to-end.
  • Understanding of authentication, authorization, and common web security pitfalls (XSS, CSRF, SQLi, OWASP Top 10).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to explain technical trade-offs to non-engineering stakeholders.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CDK, Pulumi) and observability tooling (Datadog, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures, message queues (SQS, Kafka, RabbitMQ), or streaming systems.
  • Hands-on work integrating third-party AI/LLM APIs or building AI-assisted product features.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or active technical writing / speaking.
  • Experience mentoring engineers or leading small engineering pods.
